About Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a crossover fighting game for the Nintendo Switch and is the fifth installment in the Super Smash Bros series. Developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Sora Ltd, published by Nintendo and released on the 7th of December, 2018.
How to play
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a platform fighter for up to 8 players. Players battle each other on platform arenas, trying to knock the opponent(s) off stage. As the characters get hit, their hit percentage rises, making them easier to launch up in the air and knock them off stage. There are various victory conditions to choose from, but the competitive standard is to use stocks, meaning each player has a set amount of times they can get knocked off the stage, before losing.
Characters
There is a total of 86 characters to choose from (including downloadable content). The roster consists of Nintendo fan favourites such as Mario, Link and Donkey Kong as well as guests from legendary third-party franchises, such as Ryu from Street Fighter, Trevor Belmont from Castlevania and Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7 – to name a few.
